Before start of suspended ceiling works the following works need to be completed and assessed by the QAQC engineer from all concerned parties.
Before starting of the first fix services of false ceiling clearance will be obtained from the contractor, consultant and MEP sub contractor as the first fix services of M.E.P above the false ceiling to be completed and approved.
An area for mock up will be prepared for inspection and approval before proceeding with the overall installation.
QAQC procedures shall be followed, WIR shall be raised, inspections shall be carried out at different work tiers and clearances shall be obtained at progressive levels as mentioned therein.
Fixing of Suspension Grid :
I angles as per approved materials and section details of false ceilings will be fixed on level markings with self taping screws and royal plugs @every 400mm c/c and at 100mm near the wall corners and joints of angles Vertical support of primary channels or 3.5mm dia G.I wire with approved materials and section details will be fixed to concrete slab @ 1000mm c/c and 300mm near the walls with 6mm dia concrete plugs or rivets and extra supports should be provided near the A/C duct if required Horizontal channels will then be fixed to vertical channels with self taping screw For areas where the suspension height is much more than typical like the toilets, the C-channels 38X10mm. shall be used as vertical support, the channels shall be fixed to the slab with high screw from fisher supporting up to a weight of 50 kg per fix. Suspension system of the gypsum board ceiling should not be in direct contact with M.E.P. service especially A/C ducts.
Fixing of Gypsum Board:
Before starting of the Gypsum Board fixing services of false ceiling clearance will be obtained by the contractor, consultant and M.E.P sub contractor, services of M.E.P above the false ceiling to be completed and approved as well inspection of the suspension frame of false ceilings should be carried out by the consultant and should be rectified to comments if given by them. • Two layers of Gypsum plaster board sheet as approved should be fixed to furring channels with self taping screws at every 100mm c/c and G.I angles @ the perimeter of walls. • Extra furring channels should be provided at the joints of Gypsum plaster boards to its shorter lengths and cut piece joints if required. • Extra supports should be provided around access panel.
Finishing of Gypsum Board:
Before start of the finish works including filler and paint, services of false ceiling marking
will be made by M.E.P sub contractor as per approved shop drawings for all the electrical points, A/C supply and return air diffuser position, sprinkler points and position of access panel as per approved coordinated drawings and inspection by the consultant
and contractor to be obtained for final approval of cutting, gypsum boards shall be cut mechanically
Refer Technical Data Sheets for finishing materials application, manufacture recommended application standards shall be followed.
Surface Preparation:
Surface / substrate preparation is the most important for Bituminous Protective coating before application.
The concrete surface / substrate shall be clean and free from contamination such as dust, oil, grease, organic growth and release agents etc.
The surface shall be free from standing water.
All loosely adhering particles such as rust, mortar and cement laitance shall be removed. The surface would be cleaned by wire or stiff brushing and finally soft brushing or compressed air. Cracks greater than 1.6mm wide shall be rout out. The substrate condition shall be approved by the client prior to start application.
Prime Coat:
Prime coat is not normally required (as per manufacturer's recommendations) however if the substrate is particularly porous or bubble holes are there, then diluted Corroprufe BRE with up to 10% potable water shall be applied with brush or roller in a continuous uniform coating. Allow drying time for minimum 3 hours to proceed for next coat.
Application of Bituminous Protective Coating:
Two coats of Bituminous Protective Coating shall be done under competent personnel's supervision and as per manufacturer's recommendations. The material will be stirred thoroughly to mix any solid materials that may have settled at the bottom of the packing, until a homogeneous consistency is achieved.
After thorough mixing, first Coad of Corruprufe BRE shall be applied with brushes or rollers in a continuous uniform coating.
At least 4 hours drying time shall be allowed between the coats. Second coat shall be applied in the same manner. The theoretical coverage rate is 1.5 to 2 sq-m per liter, to give an approximate dry film thickness of 200 - 300 microns, as per manufacturer's recommendations Adequate ventilation shall be provided (if required) Application of water proofing system shall be done by experienced and competent personnel. Unauthorized entry shall be restricted to the waterproofing areas.
Prior to concealing of the waterproofing inspection shall be *raised for consultant approval. All subsequent works shall be carried out only after getting written approval. Curing Of Protective Coating: At least 24 hours shall be allowed to dry Corroprufe BRE prior to start the next activity (before back-filling or covering) as per manufacturer's recommendations. Cleaning: Clean all tools and equipment immediately after use with water. Empty Corroprufe BRE containers will be disposed off as per local management requirements
Pavers Make sure that available interlocking tiles are as per the approval from client. Also ensure that color and thickness of the tiles are in accordance with the drawings and specifications. Prepare sub grade by leveling and compacting the graded surface to attain the required degree of compaction of the maximum dry density. Install the kerbstones to the target level and plumb, as shown in the drawings. Provide proper Hunching with mass concrete for the Kerbstones as per the finishing details. Upt-completion of necessary curing period, do the back filling by the sides of the kerbs. Take necessary care to avoid any disturbance in the alignment of kerbs during compaction. Make sure that sub base is of approved material and minimum 150 mm thick compacted to 95% of MDD (or as specified). It shall be spread evenly, watered, shaped and graded to the required grade and cross section Provide laying course with coarse sand (0-5 mm) to a minimum thickness of 50 mm. Do the laying work evenly and compact to the desirable compaction level. Lay the paving interlocking blocks or bricks in Herringbone pattern unless otherwise shown on the drawings. Ensure that the joints between interlocking bricks / blocks shall not exceed 3 mm. Compact the block paving using plate compactor, after each 20 square meter of lying. Brush fine sand over the paving stones, half filling the joints, fill the top half of the joints with betonies or any approved material and use plate vibrator for further compaction. Once the compaction is complete, remove all the surplus material and debris from the working area to make it clean and tidy. xO win a Nissan Z 2021 2021 7 alumni alr
